Our Mission

The gap between surviving and thriving is where we work.

Insurance treats recovery like a checklist. The goal is ‘good enough.’ Enough to get discharged. Enough to go back to work. Enough to close the file. But for survivors who want more, who are willing to put in the work, resources should never be the thing that stops them.

HTGR gives everyday people access to world class rehabilitation. Multiple sessions a week. Top tier practitioners. The kind of care that turns ‘good enough’ into something no one saw coming. Because when someone is ready to fight for their life back, they deserve every chance to reach their new 100%.

Michael Otoo, HTGR survivor

"I went from being told I would never play sports again because of a traumatic brain injury, to graduating with my masters as a collegiate basketball player. Having the right community around me in my darkest moments made that possible."

Brandon Peacock, founder of HTGR and triple gunshot survivor

Triple Gunshot Survivor · Founder

"I was 30 seconds from bleeding out. You never know how much time you have left."

Brandon was shot three times and told he would never walk again after a bullet severed his femoral artery. Thirteen months later, he ran a marathon. He built HTGR as an homage to the physiotherapist who helped him for free, so other survivors could have that same chance.

Gavin Smith in his wheelchair with Brandon Peacock at sunset — defying the odds after a spinal gunshot wound

Spinal Cord Injury Survivor · Canada

"Doctors said I'd never walk. Every day I fight proves them wrong."

Gavin was shot as a bystander and left with a complete T-12 vertebrae fracture. He is now able to leave his apartment with crutches and leg braces (no wheel chair) just 3 years later.
