Isaiah Bryant, a 26-year-old father of three, was shot 8 times in a senseless act of violence in June 2023.

He was left paralyzed from the waist down due to a bullet that hit his T10 vertebrae.

Doctors told him that he will never walk again.

Despite the overwhelming challenges, Isaiah's spirit remains unbroken.

He is motivated by his deep love for his children and his determination to walk his daughter down the aisle one day.

For the last 4 months our team at HTGR has been covering Isaiah’s therapy, helping him have access to top tier recovery tools 5 days a week.

With this additional support, and Isaiah’s tenacious work ethic, he has made tremendous progress.

He has begun to regain feeling in his legs and is also able to use a walker with just his upper body strength and limited motor function (something that is very uncommon this early on into the recovery journey from a spinal cord injury.)

In addition to the physical therapy we are providing Isaiah (with our partners at Pelino Athletic Performance Centre), we also are hoping to give Isaiah access to a regenerative medicine procedure called “Stem Cell Therapy.”

Stem cell therapy is a medical procedure where an individual is injected with hundreds of millions of stem cells around their injured area.

These stem cells help heal damaged tissues at a stronger and faster rate than our body can heal them on it’s own.

Stem cell therapy has proven to be particularly helpful in the case of spinal cord injury survivors who are able to get the treatment within their first year of healing.

We're on a mission to support Isaiah by giving him every resource necessary to get him back on his feet again.

Because no person should lose their ability to walk, without having every single tool necessary to have a proper fighting chance at recovery.

These programs are be Isaiah's best chance at regaining mobility and returning to a life full of activity and joy with his kids.

Every day, Isaiah shows incredible drive, courage and positivity, but the road to recovery is long and filled with hurdles. 

The costs of high-quality therapy are substantial. 

The cost of advanced regenerative therapy is substantial.

And unfortunately, right now, neither government institutions or insurance providers provide funding to help driven survivors like Isaiah fight as hard as it takes.

This will be a long and difficult battle for Isaiah. 

But we are confident, with time, resources, and a top tier team around him, Isaiah will shock the world with his recovery journey.
